Case Studies
Jordan’s Story…
Living with cerebral palsy since childhood, Jordan has faced daily challenges with mobility and coordination. As he grew, his paediatric bathroom chair no longer fitted.
At a free joint assessment, we introduced the Tide 981. Available in infant to adult sizes and fully compatible with his wash/dry toilet, it solved the issue instantly. Adaptable and customisable, the 981-S offered the comfort, function, and fit Jordan needed, without compromise.
Today, Jordan is all smiles. The Tide 981 didn’t just meet expectations—it exceeded them, proving that thoughtful design can grow with you.
“Functionality means nothing if it sacrifices comfort, and there’s no reason to compromise on one another.”
Paula’s Story….
Paula, 46, has been living with Multiple Sclerosis for eight years, during which her mobility has steadily declined. Cared for by her husband, teenage daughter, and a professional carer, she receives daily support with personal care, including showering in an ensuite wet room.
For four years, Paula used a standard shower chair with a lap strap. However, after a recent hospital stay, her sitting balance worsened, leading to dangerous slips from the chair.
Switching to a tilt-in-space chair with a 45° recline resolved the issue. The tilted position, combined with her body weight, kept her securely in place. She also gained added comfort from a padded, fast-drying 3D-Spacer back and headrest, moulding to her shape and perfectly suited to wet environments.
